A Mother’s Letter of Hope

I never imagined I would walk this road. My son is my world. At three, we knew something wasn’t right—his development had stalled and we were terrified. When he hadn’t spoken a word by age four, I quit my job to devote myself to his care, determined to fight for him however I could.

Every parent’s greatest fear is watching their child hurt, unable to help. We felt lost, struggling to navigate a maze of doctors and hospital visits, unanswered questions, and sleepless nights. It was overwhelming and sometimes seemed hopeless. Still, our love gave us the strength to keep going.

When the Covid pandemic hit, we made the difficult choice to leave everything behind and move from Arizona to Texas in May 2020. Arizona hadn’t brought us any answers—just mounting bills and heartbreak. But we never stopped believing that hope was out there.

We finally found it with the incredible team of doctors at UT Houston. After years of searching, they gave our son the diagnosis and care he desperately needed. Their support changed our lives—giving us a chance to dream of a better future for our child.

Our journey—from despair to hope—has shown us how powerful love and determination can be. We are now committed to shining a light on health and bringing hope to others navigating similar struggles. No one should have to feel alone. With help, we can create ONE THRIVING WORLD together.

With gratitude,
Chrysa Anastasiou
