Healthcare Insurance Support Program

Tsuyanni Foundation recognizes that navigating the healthcare system is one of the greatest challenges faced by patients and families today. Too many people remain unaware of their insurance options, and many go without coverage even though they could benefit from programs like Healthcare.gov. The result is that families miss care they need, and communities face avoidable health challenges.

While health insurance exists to make medical care more affordable, the reality is that many individuals struggle to understand what their plans cover, how to file claims, or what their rights are when insurance denies needed treatments. Too often, these gaps in knowledge and access create real barriers to care, leading to delayed treatments, missed appointments, and financial instability.

To address these challenges, the Tsuyanni Foundation has developed the Health Insurance Support Program, designed as a comprehensive solution that helps patients and their families maximize the benefits of their health coverage while ensuring timely access to care.

The TsuYanni Foundation is committed to changing that. We bring education into communities across the country to break down barriers to healthcare access so individuals and families can thrive. Through our programs, we connect people with trusted health and insurance information, local and national resources including Healthcare.gov, and peer support and navigation tools to help individuals make informed choices. We also listen closely to the communities we serve—adapting our approach to ensure that every person can access care, explore affordable coverage, and feel supported on their healthcare journey.

Health equity begins with health literacy. That means patients should not feel alone, confused, or discouraged when dealing with something as important as their well-being.

Primary and Mental Healthcare Navigation

At the TsuYanni Foundation, we believe every person deserves compassionate guidance, clear information, and unwavering support on their primary and mental healthcare journey. We are here to walk with our clients every step of the way—breaking down barriers, amplifying voices, and ensuring no one feels alone while navigating the primary and mental healthcare systems.

We recognize that primary and mental healthcare together form the true foundation of all health systems, as both are central to preventing epidemics, improving women’s and children’s health, addressing major infectious diseases, and managing the growing burden of non-communicable conditions such as heart disease, cancer, and depression. When communities have access to quality, integrated care, patients’ physical and mental health needs are met in a more complete and lasting way.

TsuYanni Foundation’s goal is to help build healthier communities and strengthen vulnerable health systems in the USA. The TsuYanni Foundation is committed to closing the gaps in primary and mental healthcare access, ensuring that individuals and families—especially those in underserved communities—receive the comprehensive support they need to thrive.

We provide one-on-one support to patients in scheduling and attending primary care and mental health appointments. Our team ensures follow-up care and coordination so that every client receives the comprehensive attention they need to thrive. We also assist with insurance acceptance and enrollment, helping clients overcome the challenges of complex insurance systems. Beyond appointments, we connect clients to community resources, specialty care, and essential social services. From housing and food security to transportation needs, we address the whole person—not just their diagnosis.

Knowledge is power. That’s why we offer tailored health education programs to help clients understand and manage primary and mental health conditions. With the right tools, each person can self-advocate and make informed decisions about their care.

Advocacy & Policy Programs

We stand strong as advocates for patient rights and equitable healthcare access, with a focus on underserved communities who face significant barriers to care. Through community outreach and shared stories of success, we raise awareness, reduce stigma around mental health, and invite donors and partners to join our movement for change.

Our policy advocacy work further amplifies patient voices, pushing for local and state healthcare policies that protect access to both primary and mental healthcare. Additionally, our peer and emotional support programs encourage treatment adherence, build resilience, and strengthen community bonds.

The TsuYanni Foundation is dedicated to advancing policies that expand healthcare access and affordability for all. Nearly half of U.S. adults face difficulties affording care, and too many delay or forgo treatment due to cost. These barriers not only harm health outcomes but also create lasting strain on families and communities.

We work alongside patients, caregivers, providers, and partners to champion evidence-based solutions that improve equity, reduce financial hardship, and strengthen protections for those most in need. By combining research, education, and policy engagement, we strive to drive lasting, systemic change.

Through our advocacy, we elevate the voices of patients and caregivers in policy discussions, share data-driven insights that expose barriers to care, build strong coalitions with healthcare stakeholders to pursue shared solutions, and promote legislation and policies that prioritize access, equity, and patient well-being.

Our commitment is clear: every person deserves access to the care they need, free from the fear of financial burden. With persistence and collaboration, we believe a more just and compassionate healthcare system is within reach.
